Wardrobe closets are NOT closet organizer systems. Those systems can cost a significant amount of cash and are generally permanent fixtures in your home. A wardrobe closet was much more commonplace in our nations history. You placed these closets in rooms that may not have been designed to be a bedroom. Today's units can feature just about anything you want. Drawers, shelves, clothing rods, or baskets are all features you can use to customize the wardrobe to fit your need.

We recently remodeled an unused living room/dining room space into a bedroom for my teenager. We didn't want to build a closet into the room, as we wanted to later be able to restore the room to its original state. We used two wardrobe closets to give more than enough space for a teenagers clothes. Although if you look at the floor in his room, you'll swear there is not enough space.

Wardrobe closets can be found at most of the big box stores, or you can get them online. There's a unit available for every size, shape, and taste. I've found units that look great in kitchens with glass doors and shelving to show off items you store in the kitchen--from food to dishes. You can get units that are already completed and ready to move, or get them in a box ready-to-assemble. My screwdriver skills and ability to follow the pretty picture directions were about all that was needed to assemble the wardrobe closets in my teens room.

Organization is always needed in homes. The more you know where your stuff is located, the less time searching you'll have. No more digging through piles, just walk to the door and open. Wardrobe closets are a great answer for getting extra storage at a much lower cost. Check them out and see how you can improve your organization and save your wallet.
